Thank
you for visiting the website for New York
State Probation Officer’s Association.
NYSPOA is a professional organization of
Probation Officers with the common goal of
increasing public safety, raising awareness,
and promoting professionalism in the field
of community corrections.
The NYSPOA website offers a bird's eye view of the Probation
function in the State of New York and links
to other criminal justice agencies of which
we work with to provide community safety to
the citizens of this state. On our site you
will find meeting dates and locations, along
with legislative issues affecting our field,
specific county news, and
annual conference
information, along with how to become
involved as a exhibitor or presenter. In
addition, you can take advantage of our new
features - purchase NYSPOA merchandise,
activate or renew membership, and an
updated
chat area. If you are not already a member
of NYSPOA, get involved and join! Our board
is always looking for officers who wish to
become involved and become active in the
organization.

What does probation mean to you?
DPCA State Director Robert Maccarone
has requested NYSPOA’s assistance in
seeking a motto that identifies the
dedicated individuals that represent
Probation across New York State. NYPD is
known as “New York’s finest” and NYFD is
“New York’s Bravest”. What is your idea?
NYSPOA is accepting submissions.
