NYSPOA 2019 Training Conference: “3 Days of Peace, Love, & Supervision.”
The New York State Probation Officers Association is pleased to announce our 2019 Training Conference will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 – Friday, August 2, 2019 at Resorts World Catskills, Monticello, New York. Our theme is “3 Days of Peace, Love, & Supervision” due to the venue being near the original Woodstock festival which will be celebrating its’ 50th Anniversary this summer.
The three-day conference is packed with dynamic workshops, networking opportunities, and vendor exhibits.
On Thursday, August 1, 2019, we will host our awards luncheon to honor Probation Officers from across the State as they are recognized for their exemplary performance and commitment to the Probation profession. For further information on our awards and nomination procedures click here.
Tickets for raffle prizes, which have been donated by vendors, NYSPOA Board members, and various businesses, are sold throughout the conference and the proceeds are used to fund future conference scholarships. This year, we are excited to announce the availability of seven (7) NYSPOA scholarships from the funds raised during our 2018 Conference. Hotel Accommodations and Conference Venue
There is a block of rooms available to Conference attendees at Resorts World Catskills (RWC), 888 Resorts World Drive, Monticello, New York 12701. The hotel room rate of $169 King Suite / $219 Double Queen Suite per night is guaranteed for reservations made by July 3, 2019. The room rate is being offered for two days pre/post conference. Non-discounted rooms this time of year are at a higher premium price. *Please note that firearms are prohibited on premises at RWC.

About Resorts World Catskills

Did you know that Bethel, New York (which is located in Sullivan County) is home to the original Woodstock Festival held August 15 – 18, 1969, and this year is the 50th Anniversary? Have you ever experienced Bethel Woods Center for The Arts?
Monticello Motor Club is a private “country club racetrack” for automotive enthusiasts. Drivers can experience sports cars the way they were meant to, with no speed limits. More than just a track, MMC is a destination with an array of services and amenities built to accommodate drivers of all abilities.
Not too far from the conference venue is the Town of Roscoe, which is known as Trout Town USA and is also home of the Roscoe Beer Company – a top prize award recipient in the first “Taste of NY Craft Beer Challenge” that was sponsored by Governor Cuomo in New York City in May 2017.
If you love Broadway theater and Cabarets, the Forestburgh Playhouse will be performing “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” during our stay.
Sullivan County is also home to many golf courses.

Rafting Down the Delaware – Group Event on Friday, August 2, 2019 following the conference with Indian Head Canoes. Price is $35 per rafter and you must complete and bring this waiver of agreement with you.
Rafters will meet at Knights Eddy, New York site and raft down the river to Matamoras, PA (6 mile rafting trip). The cost includes rafting trip and transportation back to your vehicle at Knights Eddy. To learn more about this excursion click here.
